The lunch period and demonstrations should work together. A meal of sandwiches or hamburgers should be complimented with cooked pheasant as many of the Apprentices may be eating it for the first time. The oven ready birds are best prepared by deep frying using propane as the source of heat.

Once lunch is finished, you should use this time to have a special activity or event to teach the Apprentices about different aspects of wildlife management or a particular hunting interest such as using a falconry bird for hunting, turkey trapping or retriever demonstration from the dog handlers.

The potential list of topics is endless and important for the youth to learn about. This period should also be used by the planning committee Chair to officially recognize the volunteers and thank the sponsors.

You should plan 60 minutes for this station depending on the number of Apprentices.
